Bobby Rhea is a native of Mansfield, Ohio and has spent his entire life there. He has an older
sister who is happily married and two amazing little nieces. Bobby graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2012, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature with a Minor in History. Bobby is also a graduate of the LifeSpring School of Spiritual Formation and credits much of his faith and spirituality to LifeSpring. Bobby's favorite spiritual practices and traditions come from the Catholic and Greek Orthodox Churches, but he has gained much from his journey through the United Methodist Church, Presbyterian Church and Episcopalian Church. His favorite spiritual practices include silence, journaling, Scripture study and spiritual reading. Bobby is an avid reader, loves to write, prefers snail mail over email, is an avid photographer of nature and religious architecture, and is also a committed runner, currently training for his first half marathon. Ruth Aubrey, MSW, LISW-S, is a graduate of Ohio State University. She has worked as a counselor, trainer, and administrator for many years. She has experienced both joy and pain in the faith journey. LifeSpring's emphasis on silence, God's presence, and making and maintaining a spiritual practice have been integral on the journey. Her heart is for peaceful abiding with God. She brings organizational skills and spontaneity to LifeSpring's leadership team. Allan Aubrey is a retired pastor and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. He worked for 45 years years in various churches and concluded his ministry as counselor at the Christian Children's Home of Ohio and New Beginnings Counseling Center.
Having previously attended Lifespring, Allan believes solidly in the value of studying the great mystics of the past and learning to experience God through quietness and meditation. He appreciates nature and community as pathways to understanding the Creator. Pam Hartz has a BA in Religion and Philosophy and a MS in Education.
She is a retired teacher, intervention specialist and church youth director. Pam attended the LifeSpring class of 2003-05 and the Shalem Institute of Spiritual Formation from 2004-06, receiving a certificate of completion from Shalem’s Spiritual Guidance Program. Both experiences were life-giving. Pam is learning to be still and know God and to make living in the present moment a practice for her life. She finds joy and inspiration while being with others through listening, conversation and prayer. Pam also relishes reading, music, nature and playing with children - who remind her to never leave the playground. In Memory of Marilyn Sutton
